Pesto Recipe

Classic, simple basil pesto recipe with fresh basil leaves

Ingredients- 

  • Uptown fresh basil leaves 
  • 4-5 garlic cloves 
  • 3-4 pine nuts or walnuts 
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil 
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Directions-

  • Take a mixture/ blender add in the fresh basil leaves. 
  • Add the garlic cloves, pine nuts or walnuts and the parmesan cheese. 
  • Also add in the olive oil, salt and black pepper. 
  • Blend everything together until you get a paste texture. 
  • Your easy fresh pesto is ready. 
  •  Serve it with spaghetti or your choice of pasta. 

Additional tip-

  • you can also use it as a spread for your sandwiches.
